Nema toga što bi Vuka moglo izvu¿i iz ku¿e po tom pakleno vru¿em vremenu. Iako je raspust on se radije zavukao u hladovinu i ¿e¿njivo pri¿eljkuje hladno¿u i mraz. Dok je preträivao po tavanu nije ni slutio da ¿e mu jedna naizgled obi¿na kugla okrenuti ¿ivot naopäke Ali to je bila volja velikog Horagallesa i ¿elja de¿aka Iskka iz Laponije. Saamie su ¿ekala teška vremena i velika odluka u kojoj Vuk ima klju¿nu ulogu. Došlo je vreme da se izbore za svoju rodnu grudu ili da zauvek nestanu sa lica zemlje. Ali saami su jedistveni, nesalomivog duha i u¿ini¿e sve da kao narod opstanu. Zato reše da prodaju skoro sve svoje sobove što nije nimalo lak zatadak. Jedini kupac koji nije podmi¿en se nalazi u nekoliko stotina kilometara udaljenom Jokkmokku gde treba oterati krdo. Divljina je prepuna opasnosti a za petama su im potpläeni gradonäelnik Hegon i ameri¿ki investitor Mr. Karter koji po svaku cenu ho¿e da osujete njihov plan. Uz to je stegla polarna zima a na tragu im je i kanadski traper Big Mike kao i strah i trepet ¿itave Laponije, crni vuk Askan.

Susanna D. Stark is a Serbian author of children's books. She writes modern stories and fairy tales for children. In her early childhood she wrote only poetry, and in 2014 she finally started writing books for children. Her stories are very diverse, full of fantasy and unusual characters, and most of them are about nature conservation, especially endangered species, natural phenomena, mythical figures and legends. In her books, she skillfully combines real facts with legends and myths and fictional characters, so that reality and fantasy constantly merge. The reader is immersed in a fantastic world that seems more than real and brings imaginative and interesting characters very close to the reader.To date, she has published several children's books in different languages:
